Stypendium szkolne może otrzymać uczeń zamieszkały na terenie Gminy Łask, znajdujący się w trudnej sytuacji materialnej, wynikającej z niskich dochodów na osobę  w rodzinie. Rodzice (prawni opiekunowie) uczniów, których dochód na członka rodziny nie przekracza kwoty 823,00 zł     netto (zgodnie z art. 8 ust. 1 pkt 2 ustawy z dnia 12 marca 2004 r. o pomocy społecznej) są uprawnieni do uzyskania takiej formy pomocy oraz gdy w rodzinie tej występuje:
- bezrobocie ;
- niepełnosprawność;
- rodzina niepełna;
- ciężka lub długotrwała choroba;
- wielodzietność;
- brak umiejętności wypełniania funkcji opiekuńczo -wychowawczych;
- alkoholizm lub narkomania;
- zdarzenie losowe.

Stypendium szkolne jest przyznawane w formie pomocy rzeczowej  lub całkowitego pokrycia kosztów udziału w zajęciach edukacyjnych wykraczających poza zajęcia realizowane w szkole. Pomoc w formie rzeczowej dotyczy refundacji zakupu pomocy dydaktycznych, w tym: podręczników szkolnych, przyborów szkolnych, stroju na w-f, odzieży i obuwia szkolnego oraz innych pomocy przeznaczonych na potrzeby edukacyjne.

Wypłata stypendiów szkolnych będzie następowała po wcześniejszym przedstawieniu faktur potwierdzających poniesione koszty edukacyjne do wysokości przyznanego stypendium, dlatego przy każdorazowym zakupie artykułów szkolnych, osoby ubiegające się o przyznanie stypendium szkolnego, powinny żądać od sprzedawcy imiennych faktur wystawionych na wnioskodawcę na adres zamieszkania, potwierdzających poniesione wydatki, które stanowią podstawę rozliczenia stypendium szkolnego.
